Top of the table New Plymouth Marist United secured their home semi-final with a wash out against Inglewood, unfortunately the Inglewood wicket block succumbed to the weather and the umpires decided to abandon the match early in the afternoon.
New Plymouth Old Boys continued to pile on the misery for Stratford, Stratford were dismissed for 108 with NPOB making light work of the total surpassing it for the loss of 5 wickets inside 25 overs.
In the upset of the season so far the previously winless Hawera United got the points from top 4 placed Woodleigh. Woodleigh were dismissed for 101 with Shaun Fowler picking up 3 for 30 off his 10 overs. Hawera made light work of the total picking up the win for the loss of 2 wickets with Adam Keene finishing 50 not out.
In the match of the round NPBHS can claim school yard superiority over FDMC with a 64 run victory. FDMC did a good job bowling out NPBHS for 133 with Ryan Gilmour top scoring with 27, for FDMC Jack Kurtz and Shay Smith picked up 3 wickets apiece.
Unfortunately FDMC could not back up their bowling effort as they were dismissed for 69. Zac Betteridge picked up 4 wickets but was overshadowed by Tyler Slingsby who picked up the 3 for 5 off 8 overs.
Going into the final round NPMU stay on top on 20 points, NPOB with their bonus point win moves to 19, Inglewood on 16 with Woodleigh remaining in the top four on 14. NPBHS and Hawera remain in semi-final contention on 13 and 11.
